Chairs at Lindquist

I looked for the thread where this was discussed before but couldn't find it. I am confirming that there are chairs at Lindquist to rent. They don't have a sign anymore but the attendant does rent them if you ask. That's the good news. The bad news is that they are building permanent restrooms with showers just like at Megans Bay. Unfortunately this is causing a lot of construction noise and it's not the quiet peaceful place it used to be.

 

Given the construction time frames I've seen before I expect this will be ongoing for some time. I expect they will still be building it next year when I return. When it's done they'll have full service restrooms, a taxi stand and a snack bar similar to what's at Megans.

Thanks for the info on chairs and construction. That's a bummer b/c my hubby and I were looking for a quiet relaxing beach day, which can be difficult with construction noise. Do they have umbrellas to rent in addition to the chairs? Or is there enough shade trees? Thanks for the help!

I've never seen umbrellas and didn't ask for them. There is plenty of shade on the south end of the beach. Unfortunately that's where we like to sit and the construction is right behind you.
