Cardinal Cruiser Posted February 7, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2014 Im currently booked on a cruise at an amazingly low rate (double occupancy). However, my travel companion won't be able to go anymore. If i cancel and rebook a cruise at single occupancy, the rise in rates will make it more money that the original cruise at double occupancy. I'm comfortable paying the current balance due for the double occupancy. Im guessing that it happens more often than not, but does Rccl do anything when passengers listed "don't show up?" Any other options would be great as well.
Cardinal Cruiser Posted February 7, 2014 Author #2 Share Posted February 7, 2014 Second question, If the second person doesn't show up does it still revert back to double points for the now solo cruiser.

No. It has to be a Solo Booking to get the double points. The person that's a no show would get Zero C&A points. You would only get points for only the number of cruise days unless your were booked in a suite which gets double points.
