Wedding in santorini

Hello,

We are sailing on Brilliance of the Seas on Oct 3rd and trying to organise our wedding whilst in Santorini. Has anyone had any experience of doing this?? We are finding the "wedding planners" of Royal Caribbean not all that helpful and I have fears that the whole thing won't come together. Any advice would be gratefully received.

Wow! We just got back from our honeymoon cruise and Santorini was the top of our list of places we visited! It's GORGEOUS! We got married on RCCL before heading to another cruise for our honeymoon. Call Janet Wright at Royal Romance and ask her about Santorini - she was our wedding coordinator and I really liked her. She's extension 1123. The town of OIA (pronounced EEE - AA) was beautiful (I checked out the Alexanders Boutique Hotel there - unbelieveable) and the Santo Winery view was spectacular.

I got married in Santorini almost 2 years ago - while on a Celebrity cruise. The wedding planners for the cruise ship 'contracted out' our services to a wedding planner named Maria who lived/worked in Santorini. I didn't get a long with the cruise wedding planners well either - but Maria was excellent! I wish I had just gone with here.

She answered all my questions and met us at the gondola. I would use her again in a second!

Could you tell me a little bit more about what you did on the day - location, package that you took or anything else that you think might help.

We got nowhere with the planners that RCL use and as time is running out, I am keen to sort everything out ASAP. Thankfully we have all of the paperwork ready to go.

[Santorini bride 2014]

Hello

Me & my fiancé are going on the celebrity silhouette in August sailing from Venice to the Greek Islands. We are considering getting married in Santorini whilst we are out there (just the two of us). Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I'm worried that it may be too rushed with us only having the afternoon in Santorini (due in at 13.00 and departs at 22.00). Also do you have any photos you could share please?

We got married in Santorini in 2007. We used Anna at Santoriniweddings.com. She did a great job,and there were only the two of us.

If you go to our website and scroll down to the Venice to Istanbul story, there are the pictures of our wedding.

Word of caution, though, you need some papers prepared way in advance in Greek with a special stamp. Her website explains the process.

We opted for a symbolic wedding and then got remarried at at local courthouse to have a US wedding license.
