It's past 9am and no text or email update from Carnival. So I'm guessing we are a go, a bit delayed but close to schedule???

 

I sure am glad I know about cruise critic. I have been kept up to date more here on the forum than any info from Carnival. Thanks everyone!

 

And I have to say I am a bit excited to see what being on a bigger ship will be like. I'm used to smaller ones like Holland and Celebrity. Better get moving so I can find out!

The Carnival MAGIC just left about an hour ago. They were stuck in Galveston all night because of the fog. We were on the Magic and it didn't dock until about 4:30 P.M. Getting off was a real drag. I doubt if the ship was totally empty before 10 or 11. From what I understand, that was pretty unusual. Other than that, the MAGIC is a fantastic ship. The food was the best we have had in any of the cruises we have taken.

We are on the triumph now and we aren't moving. They said there are 2 ships ahead of us to enter the port. There is another carnival ship out here that we can see from our balcony.

Yay! Good news.

 

Just got CCL txt message telling us leaving on Triumph that next txt will be at 10:30. Hopefully Triumph will arrive earlier than Magic did yesterday at 4.
