Olympics and Cruising

Hi Everyone-

 

So I am really into the Olympic Games and enjoy catching many of the events from time to time. I know TV listings are "slim pickins" on a cruise ship, but what are the chances that they might show some events on board?

 

Has anyone been on a cruise during an olympics? Of course I want to enjoy the ship and islands, but at night or in the morning, would be good to catch up on all the action!! I am sailing on the Breakaway next week!!

I think the only problem is I don't think they have NBC channels. While maybe they can get them like they to NFL games not sure if they'd have it running as much as the coverage that NBC has.

During the last Winter Olympics we were on a cruise, (either Princess or RCCL) and the Final Canada USA hockey game was being played. No coverage at all, even in the sports bars. We had to check the internet to see the score. It was so disappointing that there was no coverage whatsoever. I hope that it will be different with NCL this time as the hockey finals will be on while we are on the Getaway.
