Making A Cruise Booking During Current Cruise

When I was on my South Pacific cruise last week, I made a booking for an Alaskan cruise. The reason I booked the cruise at the time was the reduced deposit of $100 per person instead of $800 and the promotion of the on board credit.

 

The consultant on board the cruise advised me after the initial deposit of $100, the next payment would not be due for another 6 or so weeks (ie: sometime in March). When I looked at my new booking on the RCI website, it showed the next payment of $400 per person is due next Tuesday 18th Feb. Which one is correct, the cruise consultant or the booking on the RCI website?

Often the website cannot display the special booking rates. For example I booked a cruise while onboard for Nov on the Adventure and when I log into my cruise is say, "Payment due now"
