Suggestions for Rome?

Just wondering if anyone has done a tour out of Rome?? We have been to Rome before and done all of the touristy things - absolutely loved Rome. We will be there for a day in October and wondering what other options are available?

I'll be in Rome for 4 days precruise; I'll be spending one day hiking Mount Vesuvius.

 

Or you can just hang out at the Spanish Steps and watch the action.

 

Or you can just walk thru some ordinary neighborhoods and get a feel for how ordinary Italians live...

 

Or take a Tiber river cruise to Ostia Antica...

Nytnyleo-Thanks so much for the Sailing Along the Tiber website. We will be spend a total of 6 days in Rome(one from our ship), and this site is full of ideas.
