Heathrfeathr Posted March 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2014 Hello I will be sailing on the Carnival Splendor in two weeks. For the casino do you pay cash to use the machines or can you use your onboard account? Or maybe you can use either, and if that's the case which would you recommend? On Carnival's website it says you can use your sign and sail card. I have never sailed Carnival so I have no personal knowledge. On Princess I could use cash or my onboard account card. So I can use cash in the casino-what did you mean by all winnings uploaded to your casino account? :)
clcjdn Posted March 5, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 5, 2014 On Carnival there are no "tickets" dispensed when you win. They are uploaded to your "Player Bank" which is tied to your Sail and Sign card. You can then take your card to another machine (after setting up your PIN) and download credits onto that machine, etc... When you are ready you can go to the cashier cage and cash out your credits for dollars. Word to the wise, if you charge X dollars to your card, then proceed directly to the cage and cash out X dollars they will lock your account for fee avoidance. They can unlock once (or at least that was what I was told) but after that no access to your ship account for charging purposes.

Is there a way to see how much is on your players bank?

clcjdn Posted March 6, 2014 #8 Share Posted March 6, 2014 Yeah, you can see how many dollars are on your players bank. I didn't mind having it all tied to my sail and sign card as it was pretty easy.

The upside with this system is if you forget to cashout carnival will automatically send you a check for your winnings in about a month. If you happen to lose your ticket its much more problematic.
