normanb Posted March 9, 2014 Author #27 Share Posted March 9, 2014 When you open the cabin door from the hallway the shower is on one side and the toilet is on the other. Each is enclosed with non-transparent glass. You cannot see through it but it may be uncomfortable for some. There is a curtain that closes off that area from the sink and the rest of the cabin. If someone uses the bathroom in the middle of the night with the light on it brightens the cabin even with the curtain closed. It is not the best set up but you can get by. I believe that Norwegian changed that setup on the newest ships.
DGP1111 Posted March 9, 2014 #28 Share Posted March 9, 2014 We were on the Feb 16th sailing of the Norwegian Epic. I haven’t written a review in a few years, but after reading some of the negative reviews prior to our sailing I thought I would give my perspective . . . . . . All of the crew and staff we encountered very friendly. Anytime we had any questions or needed anything, they were very helpful. We usually go out of our way to talk with the staff on a cruise and almost always have a friendly response. . . . As I mentioned before we have been on many cruises and have enjoyed them all. Each cruise line has its own personality. Some lines do some things better than others, but they are all good. Any time that we have ever had an issue the staff has taken care of it. Even though Norwegian is not my number one choice I would go back on them in a minute. We are on vacation and there to have fun. I boarded Norwegian EPIC they day you debarked, and it appears that I was 'drafting' on your good attitude vibes, as I has a super-splendid week at sea on this wonderful ship. Was my fifth spin on EPIC, with one more remaining before she heads across the pond full time. Glad to read that you had a good time as well. Thanks for sharing your experience. :) . normanb Posted March 12, 2014 Author #31 Share Posted March 12, 2014 As I mentioned in my original post, I had not written a review in a number of years, but I had my concerns about the Epic after reading the negative reviews. My experience on her was just the opposite and I wanted to get my opinion out there. We have been on many cruises and always enjoyed them. Everything wasn't always perfect, but we have always had fun. We go on vacation with a good attitude, not looking to find the negative things. Like I mentioned before, we have reasonable expectations for the price paid.
