Norwegian Getaway Boarding Time Question

Recommended Posts

Our flight from Chicago is supposed to land at the Miami airport at 11:50 am Saturday. NCL set up the flight for us. We are concerned that if we have any delays we may be cutting it close. Any thoughts? I have also read somewhere that your had to be boarded two hours before the ship leaves and another place I read 1 hour. NCL is also supposed to bus us to the dock.

Thanks for your responses.

They set it up, you should be fine. They have a manifest of all passengers in which that have made travel arrangements for. Enjoy your trip.

If you can't come the day before, I would try for an earlier flight. If you can get on the first one that would leave you with more backup flight options. I am paranoid about flight delays and always try to go on the earliest one, but that's just me. I don't want to miss anything. The weather is ok for Chicago on Saturday so you should be fine.

They ask you to be on board two hours prior to departure. That said the manifest that had to be turned in to the Department of Homeland Security was 90 minutes before departure. I believe it was changed sometime within the last year (two years) to 60 minutes.

You will be fine if NCL booked your flights. If there are any delays, they will get you to the next port of call. Obviously, that isn't want you want to happen but it is all on them.
