Firewife1031 Posted March 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 16, 2014 Sailing on the Valor this May and staying in a Lido balcony room.... 1. Is there a hair dryer in the room? 2. How about mini-fridges? 3. How is the steakhouse food and atmosphere wise? I've only been on the Breeze and it spoiled us a bit. The hair dryer in the room was a very nice convince. I need more room for my shoes... Thanks!!

chipandsteph Posted March 16, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 16, 2014 I don't use a hair dryer so I can't answer that, but our balcony room 9273 had a mini fridge.
jmcancruise Posted March 16, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 16, 2014 We were in the steakhouse last fall and had a lovely evening. Have always found the steakhouses to have a warm relaxing atmosphere and the food top notch. Be warned though, the cheese cake could serve a family of four. huntm Posted March 16, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 16, 2014 I have never been on a Carnival ship that didn't have some type of hair dryer. When we were on the Valor last it was in the drawer. We had a balcony room and did have a fridge. The Steakhouse was fantastic!! (Very true about the cheesecake!) We also did the Chef's Table for the first time on the Valor... It was super amazing!! lynninsc Posted March 16, 2014 #7 Share Posted March 16, 2014 Just got off Valor today. There is a hair dryer, but I really wished I had brought my own. It is attached to the inside of a drawer so you don't have a lot of cord and pretty weak. It got the job done, but took awhile. We had a mini fridge in our interior cabin. The steakhouse was very good. In my opinion it wasn't the experience of a lifetime I had read about, but the food and service were both really good and the atmosphere was nice. We would do it again. Overall Valor was a great cruise!
t1adams Posted March 17, 2014 #8 Share Posted March 17, 2014 We were on the Valor last spring. Loved the steakhouse. Hair dryer is too small and hard to handle. We stayed in a Scenic OV room (faces straight ahead with floor to ceiling window) on Lido. You will soooo enjoy that floor!;)
monicuba23 Posted March 17, 2014 #9 Share Posted March 17, 2014 Put it this way.... I was on the Valor about a decade ago, and still recall the steakhouse. It was excellent.
BenjiRodney Posted March 17, 2014 #10 Share Posted March 17, 2014 We did not use the hair dryer, did not use the mini-bar, which they will empty so you can use as a fridge and loved the Steakhouse. We went on the 1st formal night, it was less crowded. Great food and service.
t1adams Posted March 17, 2014 #11 Share Posted March 17, 2014 I have heard that none of the nights on any of the steakhouses are too crowded.
