scuba in belize?

Can anyone reccomend a diving tour in Belize other than the ones offered on the ships? Will be there in November and have never dived there before.

I am also interested in a good dive tour in Belize. The cost of the ship's scuba excursion is almost double in Belize vs Cozumel. Why is that?

I haven't personally tried any of these but I have done LOTS of research. All get good reviews.

 

"Coralbreezes" is especially attractive because their trip to Caye Caulkner includes excursions for both divers and snorkelers; so the non-divers in your group can go along with you and the whole group spends part of the day together. Their 2-tank price is $109 and includes lunch. I have booked them for a December cruise.

We dove with Seasport Belize. Nice Op. Very friendly. Getting out to the dive site was a bit rough. The dive was ok but I'm thinking that might have been weather related vis was a bit low and not much life. Interval was lunch on a friend of their's island (if you can call a dot in the water an island). Nice place to interval despite the lack of facilities.
