iluvcruises Posted March 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2014 is there a different comedy show each night at Second City? If so, can you only pre-book one show? Are there both adult versions and family friendly? Thanks

snorklinbarb Posted March 23, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 23, 2014 Yes, they do have a few different shows. One is all improv. Another is drawn from being on a cruise and all the funny things that happen around the ship. They may also have the 11 pm "adult" show. You can tell from the Daily when the shows are repeated from the brief description given. You can only reserve 1 show per cruise but we've never had a problem getting in from the standby line. They release show tkts 10 mins. in advance. Of course, the best seats will likely be taken but there are usually a few empty ones. Depending on the particular group and how well they gel, Second City can be very entertaining. We thought the Breakaway performers mid Jan. did a very good job. One of the women also dropped into Fat Cats a couple of times to sing!
Ilovesailing Posted March 23, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 23, 2014 What's with the reserve seating/reservation? In the past Second City on the other ships has been mediocre to bad and same routines from ship to ship and its the show that you see people leaving the early including us the most. spidybabe Posted March 23, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 23, 2014 There is an adult only show. You can only pre book one show before boarding, but once on board -use touch screens and book another. Some of the show the same as others, improv shows different because of audience, but still same routines..... Tiggertastic Posted March 23, 2014 #7 Share Posted March 23, 2014 When we were on the breakaway they had one that was open door and anyone could go in and was family friendly I have to admit we left early as it was poor compared to ones we had seen on other NCL ships
melissac25 Posted March 23, 2014 #8 Share Posted March 23, 2014 I saw the show 3 times this past week on Breakaway and loved it. I actually never booked it but got in by waiting in the standby line about 15 min before showtime. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
