Hello from southampton, England. Maybe on a p&o aurora cruise from here to USA and Canada. My question is, do British cruise ships always berth in

Mid town manhattan? I know about qm2 using the east river, because

Have sailed back to England on her, very special! Thanks in advance. Mike.

The QM2 generally berths at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook Brooklyn and done so shortly after its first few trips in NYC.

it shows which ship berths where.

There is a third terminal in NY Harbor that uses the Bayonne(NJ) terminal for RC and Celebrity ships.

In September, since the Brooklyn cruise terminal's one berth is being used by a Princess ship, the QM2 will be relegated to Manhattan, and once again in December 2014 for an unknown reason.

On the relatively rare occasions when P & O ships call at New York, they generally dock at the Manhattan Cruise Terminal (aka piers 88/90/92).

Here's a handy list showing all expected passenger ship arrivals and departures at the Port of New York and New Jersey for 2014:

At a quick glance, the only P & O ship I see on the list is the Arcadia, scheduled to berthed in Manhattan overnight on September 30-October 1.
