Spring Break on Carnival Dream: 3/15-3/22 Western Caribbean

Nice review !! I was on the dream in January with the same itinerary. Actually we pretty much did the same excursions besides Cozumel !! In Roatan my mother and I zip lined as well ! Tropicante I would recommend to anyone as well Steve is very welcoming .

Thanks for the review I will be on her April 14th Do you remember any of the movies they showed on the outdoor screen? You know if you bought any pictures on the ship, you can take them with the copyright release and get copies made at any store where you live! Great for gifts :)

Thank you for a great review! We booked the Dream for August 2015. I have to admit, I am kind of nervous being gone for 7 days. We've just done 5 days in the past.

 

I was nervous about the 7 days, too. We had only done 3 nights before this one!

 

The only thing you should be nervous about is trying to get back on your regular schedule when you get home. :) I still feel like I'm on cruise ship/island time. My kids were 10 minutes late to school this morning!

I loved Roatan. I would love to go back someday. I was actually looking at resorts online last night! We saw several zip line places, but never made it to one of them.

We will be at Tropicante this May and also have a short day. Did you just take a can to get there? Any really good menu items? How long to get back?

Great review. We sail in June and will be doing a different itinerary but it was nice to read about the ship and see the pics....which were great. I will be brining an 18yr old, 16yr old and 11yr old. The 11yr old loves Camp Carnival. I loved the scavenger hunt idea and my steal it for our cruise..just to give us something different to do one..especially if we decide to stay on the ship while in one of the ports or get back early.:)

Question: Why did you say that you DON'T recommend going to the Mongolian Wok the first day? I thought you should go the first day as later in the week, the line gets crazy long.

Yes, we walked out of the port area and caught a cab at the outside taxi stand. Tropicante is only about 5 minutes from the port. I had chips and guac, and the rest of my family had quesadillas. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. It's not gourmet - but it's good.

I'm jealous! I wish I could get back on the ship! I don't know if I'll ever be able to sail on the Dream again since she's moving to New Orleans and I live right by Port Canaveral.

We had so much fun doing it. It was one of my favorite parts of our cruise. My husband and son had me going all over that ship - top to bottom, front to back. It was hilarious.

Honestly, I felt like every single person on the ship went straight to the Mongolian Wok when they got on board! The line was sooooo long that first day during lunch hours. I definitely saw it shorter on other days at other times. Unfortunately, I can't remember when they were. I just remember it being super busy that first afternoon.

Did you enjoy it? We really had such a great time - other than our time in the casino!!! Actually, even though we were losing, we still had fun talking to the dealers and the other people at our tables.
