chipsdog Posted March 28, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2014 Does anyone know can I charge to my room some gambling money? I remember doing this a few years ago. I want to add as much as possible to my American Express Card and this may be a way to do it thank you
Lynnewob Posted March 28, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2014 Yes, you hand your ship card over to the dealer and they will debit how much you request from your onboard account, which eventually gets put on your credit card at the end of the cruise when you pay your bill. We tend to take cash for the casino, but lots of other people use the ship card method.
sarafinadh Posted March 28, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 28, 2014 I wonder if it shows as a charge from Cunard or a cash advance.
cunardaddict Posted March 28, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 28, 2014 I wonder if it shows as a charge from Cunard or a cash advance. It shows as casino charge on the ships total statement.
sarafinadh Posted March 28, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 28, 2014 (edited) Thanks! That's good to know. Himself loves the card tables and I am not interested in paying Chase's cash advance rates for his pocket money! CruznTom Posted March 29, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 29, 2014 (edited) There is now a charge ( I believe 3 % ), as too many passengers in the past did exactly as you are proposing (some to the tune of 10s of thousands of dollars). But it is processed as a purchase. Edited March 29, 2014 by CruznTom
