R&S Posted April 6, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 6, 2014 I am going to be watching as the Carnival Sunshine leaves the port of New Orleans for the final time today. After a nice long repositioning cruise she will end up in Port Canaveral. We had the chance to sail on her for my 50th birthday and everyone loved the ship and crew. Good Luck Sunshine, we hope to sail on you again soon. http://portno.com/cruise-webcam
SCDreamWeaver Posted April 6, 2014 #2 Share Posted April 6, 2014 The sunshine may be leaving NO, but you will absoloutely love cruising on the Dream so not too bad a trade if you like cruising out of NO. jeff

EZ4 Posted April 7, 2014 #7 Share Posted April 7, 2014 I did an excursion in NOLA the other night. I accidentally turned onto the street car tracks in the middle of Canal St. Can't see diddly at night anymore. Ooops. ;):)
JulesNBama Posted April 7, 2014 #8 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Will be sailing aboard the Dream April 27th! Just 3 more weeks! It is a double treat for me, New Orleons is like an old friend, a second home; combined with a fabulous ship and a great itenarary!!! Excited! DKF97 Posted April 7, 2014 #10 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Yay! Thank goodness! Really disliked Sunshine and happy to see her go as so far we only cruise from NOLA. We have 2 cruises booked this year on the Dream! So excited, 83 days to go!
WLHyatt Posted April 7, 2014 #11 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Bring on the Dream! I mentioned to my wife a couple of years ago that the Dream would be a better fit in NOLA than anything else besides the Conquest (which was originally homeported in NOLA) because of the masks in the aft lounge on deck 5. They look quite a bit like the Mardi Gras/Carnival masks that are common in NOLA.

WLHyatt Posted April 7, 2014 #13 Share Posted April 7, 2014 Yes I know. I will always have an attachment to that ship for that reason. NOLA is "home" for us, and I can't wait to be there again!
