ish drakes Posted April 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted April 11, 2014 (edited) Hi, I have a booked an E2 on the Adventure of the Seas for a Southern Caribbean Cruise in November and wanted some assistance choosing a balcony cabin. I booked with a travel agent who has us in cabin 6596 on deck 6. I was doing some research here and got some feedback that balconies on deck 6 are not preferable as they don't tend to have the glass opening and are all steel. I went back to the travel agent and she has offered me cabins 7266 or 7268 on deck 7, can anyone advise if I should stick with my current cabin assignment? or is any cabin on any deck other 6 preferable? Also, anyone who has actually stayed in any of the cabins, any insight is welcome. Edited April 11, 2014 by ish drakes

It is true that all of the side facing balconies on deck 6 have a full steel front, while the ones on the upper deck are part steel and part glass. You have a better view while seated and from inside your cabin on the upper decks. I would absolutely switch to deck 7. Either of those cabins are in a good location, near the forward staircase for a quick run down to the café for a snack on deck 5. They are not connecting, and I cannot see any issue at all with them. I am thinking yes, but I just wanted to make sure I wasn't giving up a great cabin for a less than ideal one, ie one with an obstructed view, etc
