They weren't during our cruise. As a rule they opened about an hour after our departure from a port. Now that the ship's in her home waters, and since she spends so much time in port, that may have changed.

Does everything on POAm close down when the ship is in dock?

I believe that the stores were open select hours while in port. On our ship tour we were told that you will be charged sales tax while the ship is in port. So buy your goods while at sea to avoid Hawaii state sales tax.

 

On our departure day on 7/23 the stores were open from 2:00pm-11:00pm according to our "Freestyle Daily" and we didn't set sail until about 9:30pm
