in Freeport from 7 am- 1:30 p...Grand Lucayan worth it?

I was thinking of going to the Grand Lucayan for the day, but we are only in port from 7 am to 1:30p. Do they open that early? I'm wondering if it's worth it for that short of a time in port.

Me tooo!! 7am - 1:30 pm is such a short time. Thinking if I could get there by 9am and leave by 12ish. Is 3 hours enough time?? Will it be worth it??

I did a search and didn't find this thread so actually started a new one, but this is what I want to know too. We will be on the Pride and I really am doubting whether this will be enough time. I'd like to hear from someone who has done it and their views. I think the cab fare was $5 per person each way, and the day pass was $15. For three of us, that would be $75 for the day.

Just off the Pride today. I didn't risk it, but I did overhear people telling the taxi driver that they were headed there. So, I guess it is possible.

We did a snorkel excursion while in Freeport and took a bus to Port Lucaya (not that far of a ride) so it would definitely be worth it. I noticed most of the shops did not open until 9 though. You probably can get a map of the shops on the ship and plan out which ones you want to go to but the area didn't look that big so you should have plenty of time.

Thanks for letting us know it's do-able. I had worried about how short a time we are going to be in Freeport. We're not snorkelers but did want some beach and splashing in the water time.
