Liberty 4/17 mini review

Recommended Posts

We went on Liberty in 2008 and had an opportunity for a quickie get away so we went on 4/17. Ship and staff were awesome. Food in WJ "meh" the food in the MDR was pretty good. Loved the promenade coffee shop. I think my DH tried every pastry and tea they had.

Embarkation and debarkation were swift. We chose to walk off at 7 am since we live less than an hour from the port. Plenty of custom agents. We were home by 8:30.

We saw Saturday Night Fever and it was really good. The audience was grooving and dancing in their seats. We went to Love and Marriage and it was hysterical. We did not go to any other shows.

Our cabin was an interior on deck 6. A little small but for sleeping it served its purpose. That being said . . . the kids and tweens that were on the ship were constantly running up and down the hallway, banging on doors and screaming. The cabin stewards (who were awesome in taking care of just about anything you needed) looked at us like we want to say something to them but can't. They were also playing the how many people can you fit into the elevator game. I saw a passenger confront them and they just ripped the guy. No respect at all.

The teenagers on board were fine. They were plugged into their Ipods and phones and hanging out with other teens.

Our port stop was Cozumel. Pretty as ever. We just shopped on this trip. It was very windy and the water looked choppy so if you went on a water excursion I hoped you took extra Bonine.

I like to play the slots. I have the PC games at home. I just wish that they had a couple of non-smoking nights. The smoke was brutal.

The weather was great except for embarkation day. But hey it's spring in FL. It's the start of our rainy season.

All in all good trip.
