Celebrity "Book and Go" Package Questions

Has anyone had experience with a Celebrity "Book and Go" package regarding airline flights. I was told when I booked a few weeks ago for a January cruise, that they would probably not look at airline tickets for the book and go cruisers until a couple of months before the cruise? My only concern is that we are cruising from Australia to New Zealand and if they wait to book our air until much later...will we all be separated on the plane and have horrible connecting flights? Any prior experience would be appreciated :)
