Switching TA's?

Can a cruise that has been reserved with a TA be changed to another TA? Only need $600 to have the cruise paid off, but the other TA has better offers and my TA says my gratuities will be paid by them, but they are still on my account. Maybe I just don't understand how this works.

Your present TA would have to release to go to an new TA. Highly unlikely that will happen without paying a penalty at the least. Also, if it's more than 60 days since booking, highly unlikely. RCI will not accept the reason that you can get better perks from another TA as a reason to help you.

Usually you can not transfer if more than 30 days since booking your cruise. Also many TA's charge a fee to do this ...IF they will do it at all.

If you're uncertain just ask your current TA about the gratuities and when they will be paid. I agree with the other posters that you probably won't be able to change TAs at this stage, but at least you can clear up the gratuities question.
