Just got back Saturday from the Sunshine 8 day southern cruise 5/2/14-5/10/14

Well me and my family just got back from our 8 day cruise to Aruba,curaçao, and grand Turk. We had a lot of fun,this really isn't going to be a review but I do have a lot of photos that I can share. I will be happy to answer any questions that you fellow cruisers may have and I will try my best also to answer them.

In Curacao did you dock at 2 pm? If so did you notice what time the local merchants shops close? Thank you! Glad you had a great time...we do the same route in June

Yes we did dock at 2:00 and the shops will close around 5:00 and some close at 6:00.

Yeah I know it's harsh but that is my opinion on the ship. However we did enjoys ourselves on the islands and at the specialty restaurants and our boys enjoyed making things in camp carnival. We are not ones to complain about petty things we make the most out of our situation and don't let the little things bother us or ruin our vacation.

Does the Sunshine have the new or old menus in the MDR?

Top complaints I have about the ship is the television channels throughout the entire ship only worked half the cruise only the closed loop stations worked. So all we had to choose from was safety drills , aft and stern cameras and the fun shops channel and 2 music stations.

My husband was disappointed as he missed the nascar race and some of the NFL draft.

 

Secondly the children running around like a bunch of disrespectful hoodlums running into people pushing all the buttons on the elevator and running off just very obnoxious where are the parents? Guess parents don't believe in punishment and spankings anymore. This was surprising as school is in session and it was an 8 day sailing

 

The liquid lounge where they have the production shows is a joke it's so tiny never can find a seat this really needs to be addressed as well as the comedy show area lime light is even worse this seems to be an issue on every ship they should really send the comedians back to the main show lounge for better seating

 

 

Now the highlights of this ship is most def the dining options as it was amazing throughout the ship especially the specialty restaurants.

I said she is a gorilla with lipstick but my husband said its a polished turd lol he said if you polish a turd guess what it's still a turd lol sorry thought it was lol. Her appearance is beautiful but once your on its obvious it's an older ship revamped.

great pics sorry that you found her to be a gorilla, but how can you tell she is an older ship just revamped with all of the upgrades done to her? and you wont sail her again because of some unruly children, if the ports were great and the food fantastic and your kids were well taken care of in camp carnival, not sure why the negativity..
