BrnBrok Posted May 12, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2014 We will be in San Juan with expected arrival at 2:30pm and departure at 10pm. Looking for suggestions for 2 couples traveling together. One has been to San Juan several times while the others are first-timers. Would like a tour that minimized /eliminated walking as there are some getting around issues. Also don't want to be out to late so we rush back to Grandeur of the Seas or worse yet watch it sail away. Would be open to eating local foods + sightseeing. Any suggestions? On what to see? And how to do it with as much ease as possible?
Dirkgun Posted May 14, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 14, 2014 There is a free trolley that runs around the city and will make stops along the way... it stops at both forts (San Cristobal and El Morro) and they are both worth seeing but do require some walking... can mostly be flat if you want. Or you can just stay on the trolley for a loop or two around the city seeing things. You can also take a nice easy walk along the Paseo de la Princessa (just a walkway where local vendors will set up their wares) to the fountain and back it is very picturesque. As far as local foods there are lots of places to eat real close to the pier you will dock at in Old San Juan. Some of the street vendors are great (my favorite is the tripletas sandwich) just get something and sit and enjoy watching people, soaking in the history and beauty of San Juan.
