emeraldcity Posted May 15, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 15, 2014 There doesn't seem to be a consistent procedure for how to handle doting grandmas who want to get their grandkid a Drink of the Day in a fancy glass. I seem to end up with a confused bartender who wants to patiently explain to me that I am overpaying for fruit juice in a fancy glass. I don't care! The 10-year-old felt so special when that fancy drink was set in front of her, and days later the glass was carefully packed in her suitcase for the trip home. On the December cruise I was sometimes charged full price, and sometimes the virgin drink was slightly discounted. And each time I ordered one, the bartender seemed startled ... it is really that rare?
emmad1973 Posted May 17, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2014 I often buy one for myself as I don't drink alcohol - I would have thought there are lots of people like me Emma x
