First time NCL - Dawn inside cabin deck 12 questions

After sailing with Holland a couple times we thought we'd try something different. Three of us just decided to sail from Boston to Quebec City in September and they are sold out of outside staterooms. We don't want to pay for a suite so an inside cabin will have to do.

We want to have outdoor access without going up and down all the time so are considering deck 12. Besides possible motion problems, what are the pros and cons? I like Holland lower promenade because we could walk right outside but that's not possible on the Dawn from what I have read.

We like quiet and don't have kids but deck 12 looks like it's off the beaten path and has outdoor access. Any other suggestions?

thanks!

the inside cabins on deck 12 of the DAWN are probably the nicest inside cabins on the ship for the ease of access to the outside as well as the fact that they are only a couple years old. They removed the large forward lounge/Spinnaker and turned that area in to suites and inside cabins just a couple years ago.

I was in 12035 last year in April for the western Caribbean. It's a very nice new cabin. If its just 2 of you those insides are nice. Just down the hall and around the corner and you are on the pool deck and a little further the buffet. Really quiet because you are surrounded by suites so there isn't a bunch of people walking up and down the halls.

BUT if you cant take motion those cabins are not for you. Being on the centerline and that far forward they will rock and roll if the seas are rough.

There are actually 3 of us. We've been debating which floor and cabin all evening and no matter what I choose I change my mind a few minutes later. I've been reading cabin reviews and most rooms I want are already booked. I am just going to select a cabin and cross my fingers. It will either be on deck 9, 10 or 12.

You're missing the boat if you don't book a sideways cabin on deck 12!

You will like deck 12.....I always get a suite on deck 12 and have never had any problems or noticed any bad rocking of the ship.....Its very quiet at nite as you don't have a bunch of people walking or running down the hallway......the pool deck is right there towards mid-ship and you have the forward elevators which are not that busy as compared to the mid-ship elevators......enjoy
