snorkeling in Belize/San Pedro

Can anyone offer advice or recent trip info on snorkeling in Belize? I'm leaning toward San Pedro & Hol Chan, but I can't figure out which tour company to go with. Do you have to fly to get the best experience? Any suggestions? TIA

From Belize city to San Pedro in Ambegris Caye, you can either take water taxi or fly. Check the schedule to see what might work. There are several good dive/snorkel shops in San Pedro, as it's an important part of the available activities on Ambergris Caye.

 

The snorkeling there is excellent. You can get to see lots of sharks, rays, lots of fish and healthy coral reef.
