Corfu Beaches best for families and kids

Hello

 

We have a one day stop in Corfu on our upcoming trip. I have glanced over other topics in this forum but thought I would throw this out there. We are in port (Kerkira) arriving at 8 am and leaving at 5 pm.

 

After a number of very busy days, we are thinking of maybe a beach day and are looking for recommendations for a beach which might be easily accessible and might be good for a family.

 

I looked up Paleokastritsa and it looks beautiful. It appears to be about 25 km away from Kerkira. Would a taxi be best? Or are there other options. It appears as well we could also look at renting a vehicle for about 50-60 Euro.

 

We would prefer sand and gentle seas if possible.

 

Does anyone have any recommendations?

Having been to Corfu on numerous ocassions, my favorite beaches are Perama, Benetses, Kassiopi and Sidari, all within easy distance of Corfu Town

We went to Glyfada beach. Nice beach, lots of chairs available to rent and several tavernas to get lunch. We made arrangement when we got off the ship with a taxi driver, to be dropped off and then picked up at a specific time. Had a vey nice beach day.

Any idea how much you paid the driver? We are looking at renting a car which would be 40-50€.
