avlski Posted June 1, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 1, 2014 Good Day or should I say Aloha! On Princess website - it only lists Lotus Spa and treatments. On a prior Diamond Princess cruise, they had a Thermal Therapy/showers/steam, I was wondering if STAR had anything like that. If yes - cost? If yes - where is it located on website. I have read something about a "Sanctuary" and a charge. What is that? I am trying to get an understanding of ship and relaxing activities. Final question - we have booked an interior room on Lido Deck - in the front. Any comments on this locations (pro's and con's). Thanks in advance for advise! Pam in CA Posted June 1, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 1, 2014 The Sanctuary is an adults-only area with large loungers with thick comfortable cushions. Attendants are there to get you drinks, food ($3 service fee), cold towels on hot days, blankets on cold days, etc. Cost is $20/half-day/pp, $40/day/pp. If you book for the whole cruise, it's $30/day/pp. You select "your" lounger and no one else can use it. You can come and go as you please. An inside cabin on Lido deck isn't a bad location. You'll feel a lot more movement being on an upper deck and forward. The first day or two, the seas can be choppy or rough as the ship sails through the California Current.
