Had anybody been on this excursion? This looks more my style than the dunns waterfall. However this is my first cruise and I have a lot of anxiety about missing the ship or something bad happening. Is this a safe tour? What do you do on it? Can you only swim in the water if you jump.off the cliff or swing on the rope? Please only post if you've been on it thanks!

My husband and I were in Ocho Rios via the Carnival Glory... and we went to visit the Blue Hole! We wanted to do something different! We LOVED it! I spent time researching it and I found a tour company called "Liberty Tours". You can find reviews for them on Trip Advisor. All the things that are said in those reviews are true! If you email them and get in touch with Ricardo... you won't regret it! When I emailed him.. he responded the same day. He even called me twice to talk about any concerns I had and to explain everything. This tour is very safe and you will not miss your ship! They make sure to get you to the port at the time you give them. When you speak with Ricardo.. you can plan your tour.. so you can do whatever you'd like! Our group went to the Blue Hole, stopped for some beef patties, checked out a spot with a great view to have a drink, went to a place called Scotchies for some Authentic Jamaican Jerk Chicken and then did a little shopping. The place he took us to for shopping was a little store where they gave us great deals on everything. No hassle, no pressure. When you're at the Blue Hole.. there are different spots you can jump off of. There is also the rope swing. I jumped off most of the spots. But there were people who did not want to. They were still able to hang out in the falls, swim and take pictures. The guides were friendly... and held our phones and cameras and took pictures for us. Everyone in the group enjoyed themselves! :)

Thank you SO MUCH!!! I have one last question...when you go into the cave and underneath the waterfall, is that scary? Do you have to go underneath anything or go under water at all? If you give me more details on that that would be greattT!!!!

Not scary at all, but you do need to go in backwards since the waterfall is directly above you spilling water down on you. The video posted above shows them inside the cave and going in backwards.

We also used Libertytours and our entire group had the time of their lives.

They raved about the whole Secret Falls experience to their friends and family back home as well as their cruise tablemates. This is not to be missed while in Jamaica.

This part does seem a little scary at first, but you're just climbing down into a little cave and it's really magically. The sort of unknown aspect is what keeps it exciting, but I assure you, it's safe and no big deal. We had such a great day there and the guides are top notch, friendly folks. Do yourself a favor and go!

I'm sorry.. I never saw your reply! I hope it's not too late! As someone said.. you have to go into the cave backwards. The guide went in first.. and we went in one by one. I was afraid for a few seconds, but that passed. I was afraid because I was in a small space and couldn't see anything. But then the guide grabbed my foot and told me were to put it. After that.. it was great! You will be in water.. but never under water. It's beautiful! When you go in.. just know that everything will be ok! All of the guides know what they're doing and they care about your safety! :)
