Snorkeling along shore between San Miguel and Puerta Maya

Cruisin' for our 20th

We have been to Cozumel many times, snorkeled at the Money Bar, went to Paradise Beach, took the twister boat to Isla Pasion, enjoyed San Miguel, went to the tiny ruins :) ... Always had a great time.

This time we are contemplating doing some snorkeling between the light house and what looks to be PaPa Hogs now (used to be Sand Dollar?). My question is are we able to freely walk into the ocean almost anywhere along that stretch? Also, has anyone snorkeled here and enjoyed it? We are looking at this area because we can walk there and when finished head downtown to Carlos and Charlie's (my graduate's requirement for this stop)

Hoping someone has some insight... Thanks
