Hi All,

I have free inside casino offer pending. I have been shopping around to book before it expires. We just got off Breeze and I enjoyed it. I traveled with my son who is 3. He loves the splash area, the mini golf and is just a happy little guy. We had a standard balcony. We probably played mini golf 30 times.

This next cruise will be just us, the last was with family.

He only spent about 2-3 hours for 2 days in Camp Carnival, he had fun but didn't really want to go. Expected. He will go more next time for sure.

I can get a balcony, large balcony or extended aft balcony on breeze for about $850-900 for two, being in Miami we would have to fly most likely. A grand or ocean suite bumps the price to $1500 for two. Breeze may also have Camp Ocean by Jan which is when we want to go. Breeze has a nice waterworks. The downside is we just did Breeze and I like to experience new things. If we do Breeze I probably wouldn't consider the Grand Suite and just do an aft balcony, never had one, maybe Deck 9? Thoughts?

The other ship I am looking at is the Dec 6th Sunshine out of Port Canaveral. I haven't been on this ship. I am looking at the 8 day Southern Carribean going to Aruba and Curacao. Never been to either of these. Would it be stupid to do the Grand Suite for $1500, drive down to save $500 on the airfare? Only standard balcony's are available for this Dec 6th sailing? This is $852.00 total. How does waterworks compare to Breeze? Mainly the splash area? Does it have the small slides? I've heard Sunshine has a play area for kids not in the water area also? Is this true? I don't think it's water based but like a playground. Mini golf is probably about the same I'm guessing based on pics. Sunshine advantages is better destinations in my opinion, 4 sea days, a ship i've never been on. Disadvantages, sewer smell, just joking, only standard balcony available unless i do grand or ocean suite for $1500 total.

Thoughts?

Thanks

What about one of the Galveston ships? The Magic is a great ship, for example.

Personally, I would not think the suite would be worth it for one adult and a little one. I don't think I would get much in return for the extra expense as opposed to having two adults in that room.

Agreed... The Grand Suite was great for my family (2 adults and a 6yo). But all it gets you is a little extra room (and extra storage) and a bigger balcony.

Save your money. Book a smaller balcony and use the money you saved to enjoy a spa treatment or excursion!

Greg,

I'd do Sunshine based on the reasons highlighted above in red.
