Has anyone used it? What kind of equipment does it have? Is it crowded? What hours is it open? What are the best times to go to avoid crowds?

Thanks.

1)my son use it and loved it, i only looked in for a few minutes

2)the basic eliptical trainers, treadmils, weights and bikes.

3) yes crowded in the early morning, but by the early afternoon it's not so bad.

4)i don't know the hours, sorry

5)you have to go and try different times and see for yourself, i went around 12pm and there was only a few people in there.

i hope this help some.:) you coulde-mail me if you have more question, i was on this ship in june of this year and had a blast. soulfood2000@sbcglobal.net

Thanks for the info; maybe I'll try the early AM the first day, but if it's too crowded, I'll go back mid-morning or early afternoon while everyone's busy at the pool.

We were on the ship in June and enjoyed the cruise thoroughly but the gym left things to be desired. We belong to a "bare bones" style of gym at home and do mostly running for cardio - roughly 3 miles 3-4 times a week, no marathons here! :D

We stopped in with the intention of taking a run, but all the treadmills and ellipticals were in use. Finally I ended up pedaling an OLD stationary bike for about 15 minutes and we left. We didn't even get to use the hot tub in there because it was PACKED full of people with squealing little kids.

The treadmills are small compared to what you'll see in a normal gym on land, although one or two people were going at a slow jog. They seemed very rickety. The ellipticals appeared to be of good quality, though.

We tried both mid-morning and during the afternoon on both sea days and it was packed. Finally we gave up - we rarely took elevators anyways and got a good workout walking all over the ship and climbing the stairs!
