rhelms Posted June 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2014 Thinking of booking an 8th floor balcony located over the Theatre on the NCL Getaway. Does anyone have experience with these rooms concerning possible noise?
punkincc Posted June 13, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2014 (edited) Our son had a balcony cabin on 8 and they never mentioned hearing anything. We were in a mini suite forward on 8 and never heard anything there either. I have seen some people report that they could hear some theatre sounds in the hall, but not once they got in their cabin. We retired pretty early, and never heard any noise in the hallways. I think you are pretty safe. The shows should be over by 10:30 or so in any case I would think. I don't believe there are any late night shows in the theatre. Edited June 13, 2014 by punkincc
rhelms Posted June 13, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted June 13, 2014 Thanks a bunch for the response. I like the proximity of the rooms but was a bit afraid. looks like a go!
CasinoCruzGirl Posted June 13, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 13, 2014 I'm booked in cabin 8138 on the breakaway which looks like it's over the theatre I got this cabin because of the bigger angled balcony at the same price as all BD cabins. I'm not worried about the noise.

These are secret angled BD balconies IMO, as they don't show on the deckplans. https://docs.google.com/a/wisertogether.com/presentation/d/1kANcIdzDMzpYEqp4w3yMYVNGuSp-SQGb76oM5O6t8q0/pub?start=true&loop=true&delayms=5000#slide=id.gd42b114b_3_0

How about you? Wow that balcony in the photo looks great is 8138 the same exact as 8738? If not 8738 is still open on my sailing. I think it's the same it's directly across.
