pbnjrockette Posted June 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2014 Was wondering about the length of time it might take to get from CDG to our hotel. Apparently our hotel is near the first stop of the Air France bus. If there are no strikes on that day, would the taxi or the bus be a faster mode of travel? Apparently our hotel is near the first stop of the Air France bus. If there are no strikes on that day, would the taxi or the bus be a faster mode of travel? To be honest with you, as I have done both over the years, they come out as a draw, but with the taxi having a slight edge. With the bus I have has to change over to a taxi one time re the stop was to far from hotle, and another time the bus side swiped a car and ahd to wait for the police.I was not in any hurry so it didn't matter. Other times I have been tired and needed to get to hotle and took a taxi.It basically all comes down to money. IF you do decide on a taxi make sure you get one from the taxi stand outside the terminal as any others will be gypsy cabs and rip you off big time.Just say no to anyone who approches you near the doo as you exit no matter what their story is.Enjoy Paris. pbnjrockette Posted June 13, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted June 13, 2014 Hi, It depends.... Your hotel is near Opéra ? It stops at the Porte Maillot bus stop... BUT after looking at Google Maps it looks like a bit of a walk across busy streets to our hotel... Not something I wish to do with large suitcase.
