Day 6 at Sea

This was the best day of the cruise for us. It started in the morning. It was my SIL birthday as we walked into the Have Restaurant for breakfast we were greeted by Anoop. He wished us all a good morning and said Happy Birthday to M. After breakfast it was off to the ropes course.

The Ropes Course

It was great, I had some reservations going in, but it was not scary at all. My nephew struggled he was so scared. I helped talk him through it. The lady behind also kept talking to him to give him confidence. My wife who was unable to go on the ropes was also shouting positive thoughts his way. I think helping him cleared all my fears. There is no set course you just find your way though multiple choices at each pole. It was a lot of fun. The plank wasn't as scary as I thought. You get to the end and pull the rope for you picture. Don't forget to smile.

Then more walking through the course lead to the zip line. My BIL went first. He got stuck. He had to wiggle down to the platform. One bit of advice you run until there is no platform at take off and you will make it easily. Another thing the ship takes your picture here. Don't have the safety line in front of your face or you will not get a picture. My wife did get one of me from below.

Spider web

So after that my niece wanted to play on the spider web. She loved it. She recommended it highly.

After all that we went and did some shopping. My SIL got her bday present. We walked into the Grammy experience.

Grammy Experience

This was neat we saw lots of memorabilia from various artist including the Jackson 5, BB King, Whitney Houston, and LL Cool J. There were multiple Grammys on display. Very neat place for music fans.

O'Sheehan's

We decided to try O'Sheehan's for lunch. It was incredible. I had fried mozzarella as an appetizer. And chicken fingers for my meal and then Apple Pie for dessert. It was all so good. My BIL tried the pot pie. He would not stop talking about how good it was. It was a great dinning experience and it's included in you fare, to all the nickel and dime critics. It's a great meal with out the extra charge.

Armando and their steward Renee did a fabulous job decorating.

Day 6 at Sea (cont)

We rested in the afternoon and then got ready for dinner. We were almost done, when Anoop called. He wanted to stop by our cabin and apologize for the incident in person. He came by and apologized for being insensitive to my wife's needs. He stated that somebody else had witnessed the incident and told him that he didn't handle the situation correctly. He apologized for the seating fiasco at Illusionarium. He stated that the had never had to escort and seat that many Haven guest at once. He said that at a staff meeting they were discussing how to correct. My wife mentioned how great other Concierges had been on previous ships. She mention how great Ruth was on our previous trip. He stated that she was about to return the Getaway soon. My wife accepted his apology, but stated he should apologize to her brother, since it was his request that triggered the incident. About that time the doorbell rand and it was her brother and family. He apologized to him and thanked everyone for their time. My BIL then asked to speak with him in private. They stepped out of the hall for 20-25 min. I don't know what was said, but my BIL stated that Anoop was a good guy and there should be any further issues.

As promised Suzana got us an incredible table by the window. And she comped us another bottle of wine. Suzana was awesome. Now none of us were heavy drinkers, but Suzana had comped us 3 total bottles. We got 2 for being Platinum. We got 2 bottles of sparking wine (1 Haven and 1 latitudes) My BIL got 2 sparkling wines also( 1 at check in for Haven and 1 with the birthday decorations) That is a lot for people who don't drink often. Dinner and service was incredible as usual. Suzana said she had a surprise for M. Anoop came in with an Oreo cake and all the wait staff sang Happy Birthday to M. Anoop told us to stop by his desk after dinner and he would take us down to see Legally Blonde. Now if you lost count that is now our 4th cake and not to mention the 24 cupcakes from the decorating class. I never thought I'd say this but it was too much cake. Before we left, we offered the remaining cake to our awesome waitstaff. They were very appreciative. We met Anoop and he took us through the service elevators to the theater and helped my wife get down the stairs to her seat. A few moments later the Guest Service Manager and Anoop stopped by and presented roses to my wife and M.

Legally Blonde

My wife and I love the movie, so I was worried that the musical aspect might hurt the story. Bit it didn't. We loved it. It sticks close to the movie with some minor adjustments. We were unaware that my BIL family had never seen the movie. They all loved it too. So much is they rented the movie when they got home. I would highly recommend.

So after the show we all went back to our cabins and got dresses for GLOW. My BIL and SIL stopped by and we shared on of the remaining bottles of sparkling wine. It was now time for GLOW

Best towel animal of the trip.

GLOW

GLOW is the best party on the ship. 80s party was my favorite, but GLOW had a great vibe and very crowd interactive. The staff will paint your face with glow paint. The handed out glow necklaces.

And later on they handed out glow sticks. One word of advice grab yours early they do run out and hold on thought when you get one handed to you some people will try to swipe it from your hands. Also get there early the start is a sight to see.
