What to do with luggage for a very late flight home from Seattle on debarkation day

After our cruise is over and we disembark in Seattle in August, my wife and I want to spend the day exploring Seattle, especially since our flight home doesn't leave until just before midnight. (Gotta love those red-eye flights!) But we're not sure what to do with our luggage, which will probably be a full-size suitcase or two plus a couple carry-ons. Any suggestions?

Here is a good link. There is storage at the port.

Plan A- storing the luggage at the terminal isn't a great option because the Concierge storage closes at 3:30.

Plan B would be to rent a car at the port and turn it in at the airport. If you do this- you could visit all the places you want but will have to pay to park in the downtown area. I think this is the cheapest option. A taxi to downtown will be about $15-20 (If you dock at Pier 91) A taxi to the airport is about $45. So if you can get a rental for $75- you'll have your own wheels and storage for the luggage.

If you dock at Pier 66, you are really in the thick of things. You could get a day room at a hotel. Call a travel agent to see if there any hotels that have these near the port.

Plan C would be to do a ship tour that terminates at the airport but then you will have probably from 2:30PM to entertain yourselves at the airport.

If your flight leaves before 11:59PM on disembarkation day you can use Celebrity's Luggage Valet Program. For a fee of $20 per person plus applicable airline baggage fees Celebrity will take your luggage the last night of the cruise and you will not see your luggage until your final destination. I believe that this is for domestic flights and some international flights, except for delta Airlines and US Airways. If you are flying with one of the participating airlines for the first leg of your flight and the second or third leg of your flight is with a non participating airlines, you can still use this service. .The airlines that participate in this at Seattle are American Airlines/American Eagles, Alaska Airlines & Horizon Airlines, Air Tran, JetBlue, Delta Airlines, United Airlines, US Airways, and Southwest Airlines. You must have a confirmed reservation on your airlines. Celebrity will print out your boarding passes and deliver them plus luggage valet information to your cabin the last evening before 10:00PM. See the Guest Relations Desk on board for details.

We did this and it was soooo worth it! We had a l0:50 pm flight and not only does it make for a hassle free day but Celebrity will pay any overweight fees...so we got our money's worth as our luggage was overweight.
