Laundry rooms aboard the Carnival Dream

I'm sailing on the Carnival Dream on August 3 and I was wondering abt how well the washing machines and dryers work(I have a balcony suite on the verandah deck). The reason being, last year I took my first cruise and it was on the Carnival Liberty & the night before I had did my laundry and once my clothes finished the final cycle, there was abt a 1/4 of water still in the washing machine and the indicator said it was done. So I went ahead and put my clothes in the dryer for 45 minutes at medium high temp and they were still damped. I went to the guest services deck and they gave me my money back for the washer as dryer and said that they'll have someone look at it. I took my damped clothes and let them dry on my balcony. I wanted to know if anyone can share their experiences with the washer and dryer whether it was good or bad aboard the Dream .

So you spent the last few hours of your cruise doing laundry and spent time at guest services to get some money back on your last cruise?

Not sure what you are looking for here, but enjoy your cruise, do your laundry when you get home.

We were just on the Dream last week, and we did a couple of loads of laundry mid cruise. The washers work but are inconsistent. The timer seemed to be off on one of them, but the cycle did eventually finish. The second load we started finished about 10 minutes before our first. The dryers work great. They give you a full 90 minutes for a cycle. A man came in right as I was about to take our clothes out of the washer. He was checking his clothes in the dryer. Only after 30 minutes, they were already dry. He let me use his remaining 60 minutes for our load. You will find the laundry facilities on decks 10, 7 and 2. A load is $3.25, and you use your sign and sail card. Have a great cruise!

Do you remember exactly where on deck 10 they were? I will need to do a load and 10 will be the closest to us....thanks in advance!

If you get off the glass elevators, go left, then take a right down the hall. The laundry room is 2 to 3 doors down. We were in room 10268, and they were very close to there.

Am I understanding that we no longer need quarters? We can use our S&S card?

Any idea on Deck 2 where the laundry room is? We are traveling with small grandkids and will want to wash some of their clothes.

Thanks in advance

Yes, you are correct. On the Dream, you no longer need quarters. There is a box on the wall where you will swipe your sail & sign card and choose your machine number. I am sorry, we didn't make it to the deck 2 laundry facilities. If you call the service desk from your room, they will give you the number of the room nearest the facilities. Enjoy your cruise with your grandkids!

Just avoid doing any laundry on formal nights. Seems like everyone is in there wanting to use the iron. :)

As soon as I unpack on first day(we board and go to our cabin as early as possible), I go and get everything ironed for the cruise and never have to worry the rest of the time.:) Agree, formal night-crazy in the laundry room. Also, be glad they have them on board-we are going on NCL and Celebrity also and neither has laundry facilities.
