located on East Bay Harbor Drive. Has anyone stayed here or know anything about the hotel or area? This is what I got through Pricelien for a 3 start hotel. This was my first time on Priceline. Once you have a reservation, is it possible to change it?

I don't know anything about that particular hotel, but it's in a nice, safe location. It's just across the bridge, about a 3-4 block walk, from Bal Harbour Shops (VERY upscale mall) and a couple of blocks more to the beach.

It's quite a distance to the airport and port (minimum 45 minutes, more likely longer with traffic). I would suggest you rent a car as taxis would be considerably more expensive.

As far as I understand Priceline once you bid you're stuck with what they give you. I believe if you walk away you eat it. You have to be very careful with the areas you bid in, and always thoroughly read biddingfortravel.com and betterbidding.com first.

Thanks Trents. We are staying here for pre-cruise night. We also plan to stay over in Miami following the cruise for one night before flying out. Would you recommend a hotel in South Beach area that is nice and reasonable.

Nice and most people's idea of "reasonable" don't seem to go together in South Beach, but these are the least expensive of the nicer places that I'm familiar with.
