monkeybone Posted July 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 10, 2014 If you had a choice between the Haven Spa or the Courtyard Penthouse which would you choose. I know the spa pass is great, but we get two spa days from the casino. Which cabin would you choose if the price was about the same? Thanks for any input. If you are talking about a Haven Penthouse vs a Haven Spa there is no debate for me ..it would be the Haven Penthouse. The BA Haven is so nice and it is great to stay right in the Haven. monkeybone Posted July 10, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted July 10, 2014 I hope someone on here has stayed in both cabins....For some pros and cons. I know the whirlpool in the room is nice but it does take up space. The suites seem to be about the same size I could be wrong.

I can't compare both, but we were in spa suite on Getaway and the jacuzzi and spa passes were pretty much worthless for us. We filled the jacuzzi only once (and even that "just because") and would have liked much better if we had the big chair there because now the furniture situation was inadequate for a suite IMO, the sofa type of thing we had wasn't good at all so we had only the bed to sit on to read comfortably. We had upgraded to the spa suite from B9 just weeks before departure because it was at the time the cheapest available option to get Haven access (and we got UBP for free as a promotion, so the actual price of upgrade was much more manageable). In other words, I'd choose the suite actually in Haven if the price was the same. Edited July 10, 2014 by Demonyte

Thanks for any input. .....for my cruise this year we picked the Haven Spa Suite. Firstly, it was $450pp LESS than the Haven Penthouse and my wife is a spa addict, so actually this was a no brainer. We felt having the spa pass was way more important than having a cabin in the complex. wasiii Edited July 10, 2014 by Help@
Tiggertastic Posted July 10, 2014 #7 Share Posted July 10, 2014 We did the breakaway as 2 families, we had the have spa suite on deck 14 and our friends the haven penthouse on 16 and they had direct access into the haven. It took only 2 minutes for us to walk into the haven area from our cabin courtesy of the cut through from the spa area into the haven and 3 minutes the long way round. We paid $800 less than they did We got free access to the spa and it was fabulous, especially when in port as twice I was the only person in the entire pool and saunas - my husband never used it though They got a bigger balcony than us and all 4 of us could get on their balcony, we struggled to get the 2 of us on ours But we had the jacuzzi bath in the room Don't pick a spa suite under the gym as the treadmills start at 6am - pick one under the actual spa
Coastalbreezes Posted July 10, 2014 #8 Share Posted July 10, 2014 I have had both cabins. Since I love the spa and spend time there every day, the spa cabin (deck 14) was perfect for me, especially because of the lower rate. I never used the jacuzzi. As others have said, it is an easy walk to the Haven area. However, I usually sail solo so the spa cabin is great for one person or a couple. The bed doesn't separate into twins nor is there a pull-out sofa bed, so when I sail with my son we have to choose a different category Haven cabin.
