Irishcanuck Posted July 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2014 We booked our NCL getaway for January of 2015. We cruised last year on the Epic and when on board I bought a soft drinks package for myself as I would drink a lot of soft drink. My partner on the other hand does not drink any at all. Looking this year the soft drink package is mandatory for both guests if one person buys it. Considering I only drink the soft drink it seems a waste of money to buy two. Can you still buy this package individually on board? Thanks, Phil
pisenor Posted July 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2014 Hi Phil, There are several threads regarding this topic that you might find useful. To sum things up in a nutshell from what I have been reading, it appears as though if you pre purchase the soft drinks through you My Ncl all occupants from the same cabin must purchase. However it appears as though if bought on board the ship it can be bought individually. I am sure if this is not so, someone will surely point out my errors. Rare Lupush Posted July 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2014 No, I buy one for myself all the time. My wife does not drink Soda and she is not required to purchase one.
Irishcanuck Posted July 11, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted July 11, 2014 Thanks for your quick reply. Ya I was a bit taken back to see this on myNcl as on board on my last it wasn't an issue. Have you cruised on ncl recently? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
pisenor Posted July 11, 2014 #5 Share Posted July 11, 2014 I last cruised on the Epic last November and bought the package on board for myself and DW and DS were not required to purchase it. I don't remember if this sailing was before or after they started t offer it for pre purchase online. I think it was before.
dna529 Posted July 11, 2014 #6 Share Posted July 11, 2014 My husband always buys it onboard and I do not. This was true as of Nov. 2013.
