Flying in to PR morning prior to Embarkation

So we will have a full day and night in PR. We have been there once prior for the day and visited El Yunque and did some shopping. We are thinking of just staying at a "fancy" resort and relaxing since our cruise is very port intensive, any recommendations? Dining recommendations would be welcome as well.

We spent five days in PR last year (didn't need lodging because dad was stationed there) - but we did eat out. Barrachina in Old San Juan was really good and they have an outside patio that you can eat ate. They have a website that you can check out the menu - www.barrachina.com. We also ate at Metropol and they are a local chain but they have a really great cuban menu and prices at both restuarants were very reasonable!!

Check out The Water Club Boutique Hotel in the Isla Verde area... Fantastic restaurant called Tangerine and they have a rooftop pool and club.. The entire experience there was fantastic!!!

I also stayed at the Ritz Carlton there in Isla Verde, and while relaxing with very nice grounds; we were completely bored to tears!!! We ate at the Metropol and were pleased with the menu, prices, and flavors...
