bubbakirk43 Posted July 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2014 How far is it from the cruise port area to the Pirates Nest Restaurant? Is it within walking distance?
Isa65 Posted July 13, 2014 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2014 No, it's not withing walking distance. You will need to take a cab and the ride will be about 8 minutes from pier to the entrance. Depending on how adventurous you are, you can also take a local bus. You can find the bus depot after you get out of the pier area, pass Starbucks and the movie theater, then cross the street. The attendant at the sales booth will tell you which bus to take. Tell them you want to go to Hook's Hut, behind the Hilton (many locals are not used to the new name yet:) ). Thanks for the response Isa65,we are looking to possibly going on a lunch snorkel trip on the bounty adventures. They offer a pick up service ,I was just trying to get an idea of the distance from the cruise pier. They charge an extra $9.00 pp.to do so .Would it be cheaper to just catch a taxi then ,instead of paying them to pick us up? Isa65 Posted July 13, 2014 #4 Share Posted July 13, 2014 If the $9 pp is roundtrip, then it's worth it. One way, no way;) Enjoy your day here in Curacao!
