Leo Jay Posted August 9, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2005 Rather than play the high prices for on-board on-line access, there must be reasonably-priced Internet cafes near the ports in St. John, N.B. and Halifax, N.S.... Anyone have information?
SJNB Posted August 9, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2005 in Saint John there is free internet access at the Public Library which is in Market Square, about a 5 min. walk from the Cruise Terminal. Market Sq. also has a visitor information centre in it, if you are looking to get information on things to do in the city. also across the street from the terminal at a gift shop there is also internet access. they charge a fee, not sure what it cost. hobo1937 Posted August 9, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2005 We used the Saint John Library internet access that SJNB mentioned last Sept and it worked fine. People in the library were very nice. I think there was a time limit for the use but I can't remember what it was. In any case it was enough for us to take care of our emailing. Hope this helps. Allis154 Posted August 10, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2005 Most public libraries in Canada, as well as some other public places have free interent access. There is a time limit, normally an hour, somethimes shorter when there is a large demand. The Public Library in Halifax requires a library card for use. The cards are free. The Nova Scotia Archives and Records Management Building on the corner of Robie Street and University Ave. in Halifax also has free interent access in the lobby.
