ZoeZ1 Posted August 10, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2005 This is our first cruise or crossing. Do people bring their own wine or spirits on board for use in their rooms? :)
mufi Posted August 10, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2005 Yes, I am sure they do. David.
iceman666 Posted August 10, 2005 #3 Share Posted August 10, 2005 If you are going transatlantic then it is called a Crossing. Yes, we took a bottle of gin and bottles of tonic on board. Your steward should get you ice in a bucket if you ask and, take wine as well. Apparently, if you want to take wine to the restaurant they will charge corkage. Otherwise there is not a problem and no charge. Have a good crossing.
mufi Posted August 10, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 10, 2005 In fact we and our table companions seemed to have quite a number of bottles of fizz of various sorts given us to placate a few problems. We took them to the Britannia and asked our waiter if we could have them served. Never got corkage charged. David.
