bailey57 Posted July 31, 2014 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2014 Going on Liberty soon booked with the "taxes & port fees only" casino rate (though we paid add'l to get a balcony). Also sailed Paradise in April and spent a bundle () in the casino. Is it worth contacting the casino host prior to boarding Liberty to ask if there are any perks I might qualify for, like a free drink card or OBC or anything else tied to my previous casino play? If so, who specifically do I contact? Does someone have an email or other for that ship's host? Thanks for any help or ideas! :)

Tutontow Posted August 1, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 1, 2014 This is not for the Liberty itself, this is for the Carnival Players Club at the corporate level. Give it a shot. It worked for me. ExecHost@carnival.com
KARTI1955 Posted August 1, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 1, 2014 Or, go to the Carnival Ocean Players website. There is a number there. Ask for Michael. Have you VIFP number and booking number handy.
TXFATGUY Posted August 1, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 1, 2014 With you sailing on a casino rate, they will most likely say that is your perk. It has happened on my last couple of casino rate cruises. I booked the Aug 9th trip on the Liberty and they only offered $25 in casino cash. Carnival comps are a joke.

Yeah that's kind of what I thought, but no harm in asking (since I paid for the last cruise about 5 times over...). $25 is better than $0. Thanks for everyone's input - I'll try those contacts. :)
coachj Posted August 1, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 1, 2014 I called and asked when I had my free cruise thru the casino and was told no other perks could be added. But I knew the casino host from other cruises and got a steakhouse dinner and free drink card for the casino.

Ah well. :p Thanks.
Tutontow Posted August 1, 2014 #9 Share Posted August 1, 2014 Let me say this. If you are given any type of comp when you email or talk to the ocean players club (OPC) or Carnivals players club, get it in writing and bring it with you. Also my personal experiences have been more positive with Carnival's club than dealing with the OPC. OPC has told me more than once the free cruise was all I get and nothing else. Then I get on board and find I have a $100.00 in cruise cash waiting for me. Switch over to the cruise casino's forum here at CC and you will see page after page dealing with this. Michael at OPC told me on my next free cruise I will get a drink card and nothing else. Carnivals club told me drink cards for both me and my wife and $50.00 cruise cash for her. Guess which Email I will be bringing with me?
bailey57 Posted August 2, 2014 Author #10 Share Posted August 2, 2014 Great ideas all, thank you! I will try both avenues and let you know what happens. :)

Tutontow Posted August 2, 2014 #12 Share Posted August 2, 2014 So, how did you find out you had $100 in cruise cash? Do you go to the casino and ask, or...? I was told by Michael at OPC that I had a drink card waiting for me although my wife did not. When I went to check on the drink card they said you don't have a drink card but you have $100.00 in cash. That is when I learned to get it in writing and bring it with you. I found the idea of me getting a card and my wife not very strange. She gambles more than I do. It really depends on who you talk to and on what day. bailey57 Posted August 2, 2014 Author #13 Share Posted August 2, 2014 lol... well, then I have as good a chance as anyone then, huh. From all I've read, the "comps" seem quite arbitrary.
