Pub Crawl...

They no longer have it on the Pride. Several crew members said things had gotten out of hand so they canceled it. It's when you go from bar to bar drinking.

That's too bad. We did a pub crawl card on a princess ship last year where you got a card with all the bars of the ship on it and you had to have a drink at each bar and get it marked off by the bartender and in the end you got a prize. Out of the 8 of us I filled mine out first and I got a lovely baseball hat for it

Which Princess ship? We will be on the Caribbean Princess in 3 weeks! It is our first Princess Cruise and we are so excited!

Does it cost money to do one?

It's free if you just want a sticker and want to walk from bar to bar with the group, but it costs money to actually drink, of course ;).

When I did it on the Glory in March, the special in every bar we were at was $3.25 "shots" of cranberry/vodka, sex on the beach, and kamikaze ... but you had to buy 4 shots at once to get a signature on your pub crawl sheet. Signatures were eared through drinking, contests, scavenger hunts, and miscellaneous (ie, two girls kissing for one of the male judges ... so yes, it can be a bit wild). The person/group with the most signatures at the end of the night won a prize package (I think they had over 200 sigs).

We are going on the Glory in Oct, Do you always have these? How do you find out about them?I tried to get our friends to do one last year when we were on Mariner of the Seas but it didn't work out.

We would like to do the pub crawl (if there is one on the Miracle). It will be myself, DH, DS (age 23), DS's GF (age 22) and DS (age 20). 20-yr old is a health nut, so he doesn't drink booze or soda, but would like to go with us. Do they make you show I.D. before you sign up, or what?

I think it really depends on the cruise director and the staff. My CD was Carlo Lombard, and as he's no longer CD on the Glory (or at all, I guess), I'm not sure whether or not they are still having a pub crawl. If there is a pub crawl, it will definitely be in the Capers and may also be announced at shows/over the PA.

You can allways try the wild variation we do which is the Cabin Crawl!!!!!!! Meet up with people on the roll call boards going on your cruise. Then get everyones cabin number and go from cabin to cabin and have a drink in each one!!!! Draw a card in each cabin and turn it into a poker run also!!! We have a blast!!!!!

Chucksta63,

Have already included plans for the cabin crawl for our group during our trip. Thanks for the idea!!! The poker run/cabin crawl combo sounds like it might be great as well!!! Can you give me a few more details on how you have set it up on past cruises?

Sure..Everyone throws in $5 or what ever you come up with for the anti.. Winner gets the pot (of money). We pick 7 cabins to visit and at each one you choose a card and have a drink!!! You don't have to drink but what the heck were on a cruise!!!LOL The game is best 5 cards. We all go to a bar after the last cabin and figure out who won over drinks!!!.. Needless to say your pretty cocked after this!!!;)

I hope they're still doing this on the Miracle, that sounds like fun! DH and I might have to look into that...

The Miracle had it in May when I sailed on her.

Didn't really get to drink much though (and no special prices). Danced a lot in most of the bars - only 1 I got to drink at was the piano bar.

We went chanting through the ship.....Everywhere we goooo people want to knooooww who are soooo we tell them......we are the drunk people the very very drunk people. Don't think they were too happy with us in the Casino

After I read about being cocked, I can understand why some ships restrained from doing the crawl! Especially if travelers speak Russian.

Like I said......I don't want any of that....my honey will be home.....getting "crocked" is ok though....LOL;)
