Diamond parties and events

Hi...

I am sailing on the Diamond on Monday, May 24, from Barcelona to Rome. I have been reading posts about various parties on board, I was told by Amex that they have a cocktail party, and I don't want to miss anything. So as a first-timer, how will I know what is going on? When is "the Captain's dinner"? What other parties are there? This is the special wine cruise, but the documents don't give much detail. Will I find out all once I'm on board?

You won't have any problems keeping up with shipboard activities on the Diamond. First of all is the daily listing of all general activities, including the captain's party. For other activities, you will receive a formal invitation. After a day or so, you'll look forward to the little envelopes outside your door.

I was disappointed that on the Voyager, we didn't receive a passenger list. I thought that this was a real personal touch on the Diamond, and have used mine to refresh my memory in contacting fellow passengers.
