kdickers Posted August 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2005 Does anyone out there have any information on the 9a cabins on the Liberty. I'm really looking for information comparing the wrap-arounds from the Upper Deck to the Empress Deck. I'm really confused  here .. . The Empress Deck 9a's really looks bigger but only accomodate 2 ppl . . . while the ones on the Upper Deck look smaller but accomodate 3 ppl! This really doesn't make much sense to me or are my old eyes playing tricks on me????? HELP!!! I've tried to check out some of the pics etc, but can't really distinquish the differences in room size vs # of ppl!!! Can anyone help me!!???? serene56 Posted August 14, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2005 The Liberty only started the 3 people to the 9A. So in some cabins either a sofa bed was added or a upper bed-- (im think it was the sofa bed) more people wanted to book the 9A for their family of 3 then ever before. The size is the sameon all the COnquest class ships. The size is the same on each deck...maybe seeing it at a different angle makes it appear smaller. kdickers Posted August 14, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted August 14, 2005 Thanks Serene!! Maybe it's an optical illusion because the deck is SO WIDE on the upper deck which makes the room look smaller!!!! Is it going to be crowded with a sofa bed compared to the others?? serene56 Posted August 14, 2005 #4 Share Posted August 14, 2005 No really. The majority of your time is gonna be spent either on the balcony or out on the ship someplace. The only time you will be inside the cabin is sleeping or getting ready for the day or dinner. The cabins are stepped back. so i do think too its an optical illusion http://community.webshots.com/photo/93847874/93853128svWgyq http://community.webshots.com/album/93500067nUgJex http://community.webshots.com/album/142221387wcBZzS

We have booked adjoining cabins 7414 and 7418 on Liberty. I was just checking the link to the first webshot that you provided of balconies on the Conquest. They look so different compared to the ones on Victory and Legend. You mentioned them being stepped back; does that mean there is only a partial roof over? It almost appears in the picture that you can see right over in to the next balcony if you are up at the rail. Thanks so much for providing the link, I've been trying to get a picture of what a balcony cabin on the Liberty looks like.
